Ways to apply eyeshadow for beginners
- Choose the color you want to apply
- Choose your brush
- Remove excess powder
- Apply the base color
- Apply dark shadow in the crease

Choose the color you want to apply
For creating a simple eyeshadow look all you need is two colors. Use the base color similar to your skin and the another one should be few shades darker. A person with fair skin tone must choose little darker shade than skin tone.
Choose your brush
To apply eyeshadow hold your brush between thumb ,index finger and middle finger of the dominant hand. Then using the brush take some color from eyeshadow palette. Don’t just start applying too much product.
Also don’t press the brush hardly into the shadow so as to take less product on brush. If your eyeshadow palette contains a sponge brush then you should use separate eyeshadow brushes which have bristles. If you don’t have brush use a sponge applicator.
Remove excess powder
Sometimes the brush catches little flecks of the eyeshadow powder . This causes uneven application of the product.So to avoid this you must tap your brush against the eyeshadow palette.
In this way the amount of excess powder on the surface if the brush gets away and thus you can have an even application. This is one of the way to apply eyeshadow for beginners.
Apply base color
Then start sweeping the brush back and forth on the eyelids. Start blending the shadow from the lash line and blend it away upto eyebrow. Blend it properly using brush. Blend the brush upward by moving back and forth. The color starts fading as it get towards crease. This creates a base for your look.
Apply dark shadow in the crease
After applying the base ,sweep your brush across the darker eyeshadow. As darker color show up better than the base thus try to pick less amount of darker shade. If you are applying the first color then you can use a large shadow brush.
Apply dark shadow in the crease
Don’t out darker shade of eyshadow on very inner corner of your eyes. Sweep brush in half moon shape and apply darker shade. Blend color of the eye shadow well by moving back and forth. A person with hooded eyes applies darker shade above the crease.
Repeat for other eye
After completing eye make of the first eye start applying eye shadow on the other eye. Compare your both eyes at the end after applying eyeshadow on both of the eyes. If you feel eyeshadow looks different on both eyes then use a cotton swab to wipe away the some of the eyeshadow of that eye.
