at-home manicure

Not just a beautiful face, but beautiful hands are also in the priority list of every woman. This desire of beautiful hands can be fulfilled only when you take care of them. If you want to save money or you are too busy to visit a salon, you can simply take care of your hands at home by providing them an inexpensive at-home manicure.

You just need to follow some easy steps, given by Goldy Hunjan – the best professional makeup artist in Punjab, to manicure at-home to get salon like results.

  1. Collect all the essential tools

Before you start your manicure, collect all the essential tools. Following are the things required:

  • Nail paint remover
  • Nail clipper
  • Cotton pads
  • Nail buffer
  • Cuticle pusher
  • Cuticle nipper
  • Cuticle remover
  • Cuticle cream
  • Hand moisturizer
  • A base coat for the nails
  • Nail paint
  • A clear top coat
  1. Remove old nail paint

In the beginning, remove the nail paint which you are already wearing. Gently remove it by using non acetone-based nail polish remover with the help of cotton pads.

This type of remover helps you to prevent dryness of the skin around your nails. It is better to use a non acetone-based remover if you use remover more often.

  1. Clip and File your nails – best at-home manicure tip!

Trim your nails by using clipper. Don’t cut too short. After clipping your nails, you can choose any shape you want for your nails but the best options are square shaped with round edges or simple rounded nails.

File your nails gently, don’t apply excessive force. Use a nail buffer to smoothen the top of your nails.

  1. Soak your hands in warm water

Take a bowl and fill it with warm water. After that, add some baby shampoo or cleanser in it. Then, soak your hands in it for about 3 minutes.

This will give you a feeling of relaxation. Soaking helps in softening the cuticles and also helps to remove dead skin cells. Don’t soak your hands for too long as this will damage your hands.

  1. Apply cuticle cream and then prepare the cuticle

After soaking hands for 3 minutes, wipe your hands gently and massage some cuticle cream on your nails. Gently push the cuticles back using cuticle pusher.

Don’t push too hard as it will cause damage to your nails. After pushing cuticles, wipe off the excess of cuticle cream.

  1. Apply moisturize

Use a rich cream to massage your hands. Especially massage your fingers and areas around your nails with care. You can also soak hands in warm water after applying moisturizer.

  1. Prep your nails for nail polish

If there is excess of moisturizer on your nails, wipe it off as nail polish will not stick on nails due to moisturizer. Wipe your nails by using nail polish remover with the help of cotton pad.

Doing all this will prepare your nails for applying a new nail polish.

  1. Apply a thin base coat

Apply a clear nail polish as a base coat. Application of a coat before applying nail color will help your nails from getting stained. And also, it helps your nail color to last longer.

  1. Apply a top coat

when your base coat gets dry, apply a thin color of your favorite nail paint on the top of the base. Roll the bottle of nail paint before applying.

Apply nail paint in vertical stripes, starting from base of nail towards the tip. Let the nail color get dry before applying another layer.

  1. Finish it up by applying a clear nail polish

when your nail paint gets dry, finish it up by applying the clear nail polish at the top as well. Top coat will shield your nail polish and prevents flaking. At the end of the manicure, reapply moisturizer to make your nails and hands look healthy.

The above-mention steps work wonders as an inexpensive at-home manicure and give the best results to make your nails look even more attractive.
